Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells & Lose weight Permanently,” and the “Always Hungry” Diet within it has been turning a lot of heads. Among the reasons for this is that Dr. Ludwig is included among the most widely recognized and highly influential researchers in the field of low-carb eating.

He has conducted a number of studies and in one of the most famous of them, it was shown that people who follow a reduced carb diet might actually burn an average of 325 more daily calories each day than people who live a similar lifestyle but who eat more carbohydrates.

This has been causing the media and dieters, alike, to try to discover what the “Always Hungry” Diet is and whether or not it can help them to drop the excess weight. Overall, the conclusions in Dr. Ludwig’s book show that in order to be able to achieve successful long term weight loss, suffering and calorie counting are not the right path. Though none of this type of recommendation comes as much of a surprise to many people who have been in the weight loss industry or who have been trying to lose weight for some time now, it is the way this book is designed that has allowed it to stand out. It has been written in such a way that it doesn’t just make a recommendation, but it explains why these are the right choices and backs up the claims with real research.

Even more importantly is that Dr. Ludwig hasn’t focused on extreme dieting with his approach. Instead, he has taken a more moderate tack with the hope that it will provide a reduced carb experience for achievable, ongoing results. While he does acknowledge that faster weight loss can occur with a very low carb diet, he has chosen to take the slow and steady approach to the race, to encourage gradual, continual progress, instead of rapid stops and starts that may never actually reach the goal.
